Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including but not limited to setting up ladders, and working at various heights & pitches on roofs. Safely work at heights above 6 feet. Ability to work strenuously (bending, lifting, stooping) throughout the day in all-weather environments.
  • Working knowledge of basic math skills for material calculations.
  • Prior experience in roofing systems including shingles, low slope/flat roof applications, metal, and exterior home repairs (siding, windows, doors, etc.).
  • Being able to identify Material/Tools/Equipment specific to the roof application is a plus but not required.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all OSHA industry safety requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with estimators, office personnel, and team members.
  • Perform other repair duties as required. 
  • Exhibit professionalism at every level including appearance.
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and verbally. 
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Open availability Monday through Friday with the possibility of working Saturdays and on-call as business needs determine.
We are currently seeking someone who has experience in metal roof repairs as well as experience in low-slope and flat-roof repairs.

JOB SUMMARY
The Outside Sales position is responsible for sales and associated duties that will increase the number of jobs sold. Outside Sales must optimize customer service experiences in the first meeting, during installation, and after jobs are completed. You will work as part of a team and collaborate with estimating, Inside Sales and production members to deliver the best experience for customers from job start to finish.

To succeed in this position, you must be able to maximize every sales opportunity, present roofing estimates professionally and accurately.

A successful candidate has a unique personality, the ability to demonstrate he or she is willing to go above and beyond to accomplish goals. Outside Sales understands that customer satisfaction is the #1 priority.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Team and 1 on 1 Meetings with Sales Manager.
  • Works with the estimating and production team to oversee job profitability. Generates leads through networking, referrals, calls and other means.
  • Required to Canvass pertinent areas, storm events and install locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The majority of the Outside Sales’ work will be done in the field. Outside Sales will be exposed to varying temperatures ranging from heat 90 degrees plus, to cold weather which could include temperatures in the teens, and rainy conditions. The Outside Sales must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds frequently and may perform tasks requiring climbing, crawling, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gripping and moving safely over uneven surfaces. Outside Sales are expected to safely climb ladders reaching up to 60 ft while carrying up to 30 pounds and wear personal protective gear correctly.

JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative works as a member of a collaborative team with outside sales in addition to building and managing their own book of business. Highly qualified candidates possess experience in the roofing industry with comprehensive knowledge of a roofing system.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Directly communicate with prospects through outbound calls to understand specific needs and potential sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close sales over the phone for small repairs and roofs.
  • Actively work to meet weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals set by the company according to industry and market-based expectations.
  • Build and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
  • Become a subject matter expert to effectively explain and demonstrate unique selling features of products and services.
  • Create roof replacement/repair estimates based on customer conversations and photos from the field.
  • Part of the team responsible for 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Provide sales enablement support for the outside sales team.
  • Partner with insurance companies on claims and estimates in Xactimate.
  • Confirm Order Specifics with Operations and Clients.
  • Team and 1 on 1 Meetings with Sales Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in roofing as laborer or sales representative (Highly preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent phone skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong listening and sales skills.
  • Demonstrate professional etiquette at all times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily sedentary in nature due to the office responsibilities; no special physical demands are required.
