Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including but not limited to setting up ladders, working at various heights & pitches on roofs. Safely work at heights above 6 feet. Ability to work strenuously (bending, lifting, stooping) throughout the day in all-weather environments. Working knowledge of basic math skills for material calculations
  • Prior experience in roofing systems including shingles, low slope/flat roof applications, metal and exterior home repairs (siding, windows, doors, etc.) plus being able to identify Material/Tools/Equipment specific to the roof application is a plus but not required
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all OSHA industry safety requirements
  • Communicate effectively with estimators, office personnel, and team members
  • Perform other duties as required. Exhibit professionalism at every level including appearance
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and verbally. Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Open availability Monday through Friday with the possibility of working Saturdays and on-call as business needs determine

The Business Development Coordinator will be responsible for generating leads for MBA Roofing and MBA Gutter Guards through creating and fostering relationships within the community to expand the company’s presence within the defined territory and target markets. This individual will be on the front lines of creating strategic relationships in the community that drives new business and creates lasting partnerships for consistent pipelines of business for the company. The role will require an outgoing individual who can quickly create relationships and convey the value of MBA to a wide variety of audiences in many different settings. The role will be based in Lincolnton, NC and require travel around the region. The Business Development: Networking Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Director. 

Responsibilities

  • Create strategic partnerships with insurance agents, realtors, restoration companies, maintenance managers, and other key industry partners to create a pipeline of business from these businesses in the territory 
  • Create strategic partnerships with networking groups across the territory and target markets. Attend networking events on a weekly, monthly, and as needed basis 
  • Research and identify sources for customer referrals and opportunities
  • Create and deliver presentations about MBA to individuals and large groups
  • Attend community events and represent MBA at these events 
  • Manage and set inspection appointments for leads created and track success of the leads to determine the value of the partnerships created 
  • Follow up on all referral provider contacts with appropriate correspondence based on the relationship type 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to evaluate the effectiveness of lead sources and understand how and where business comes to the business

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills
  • Exemplary organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work independently and also within a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills
  • Strong listening and sales skills
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point) required
  • Prior experience working with a CRM and email automation software
  • Demonstrate professional etiquette at all times
  • Local travel out of the office required roughly 75% of the time
  • Clean driving record
  • Availability to work before work and after hours at times, occasionally on weekends 
  • High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Prior roofing experience provide a huge benefit but not required
